Episode 7 - We’re Gonna Cry if You Don’t Comment
This week, it’s only Snowdrop and I. Hawthorn is away, but she will return shortly!
How do you introduce yourself to a new knitting group? Know any movies with great handknit sweaters in them? How do you tell handknit sweaters apart from machine knit in movies? What are the limitations of machine knitting? Inquiring minds want to know, so leave us a comment at http://faerknitters.podbean.com to tell us.

Don’t cry! I’m a 52 yr. old knitter and mother of 2 teens and live in the Chicago area. I think your show is delightful. Keep going! I haven’t checked for a new episode yet, but am wondering if you hooked up with the local knitters at the book club. Don’t be afraid to introduce yourselves — what’s the worst that could happen? Although, being shy myself, I did like your idea of getting there before them to knit and letting them approach you. Sounds like something I would do. I look forward to hearing more episodes.
Hey there guys!
I just found you guys on iTunes and wanted to say I’m really enjoying your show. I just tried to find you all on Ravelry though and you don’t come up on the search engine, so I’m confused. Help?
Hope to hear more from you soon!
Ya’ll rock! I really enjoy your show despite our large age difference. I am a 35yearold young at heart knitter living in rural Wa state working on an indian reservation in the medical profession. I knit, spin, crochet especially fond of sweaters, socks, shawls.
big appreciation:)
Hi Guys! I found you via the cogknitive podcast & am loving your fresh take on knitting and seeing life through the eyes of teenagers. I’m a 47 (arghh how did that happen) mum of 2 teenage boys (13 & nearly 18) from Australia. You can find me on ravelry as yarnaboutyarn. I knit, can crochet if I really have to, have a spinning wheel gathering dust & listen to podcasts usually while I’m having lunch. Keep up the good work, I’ll be listening.
i love listening to you guys! you’re great! i’m 52, i have two daughters who are 24 and 20, and i live in the desert in Arizona. i’m a professional violinist and i also teach kids how to play the violin. Candytuft sounds just like one of my students, McKenzie - not just the sound of your voice, but the way you talk and even the way you say things. That’s very cool. I don’t go to knit groups because i like to knit by myself. i’m wynne on ravlery. Keep on keeping on!
